How it all started

DIY Paint by Numbers is owned and operated by Dreamly Colors GmbH, based in Ahnatal near Kassel, Germany. We registered the company in October 2020 with a simple idea: turn “paint‑by‑numbers” into a premium, mindful hobby anyone can enjoy. Our founder Philipp Oberthür—software engineer, weekend artist and eternal tinkerer—couldn’t find kits good enough for gifting, so he decided to build them himself.
